Typeface.WithAxes(IEnumerable<AxisSetting>) Method

The typeface of a variable font at a location in its design space.

settings System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable<AxisSetting>

The values to set.

Typeface
The typeface at the location, or this typeface when the font is not variable.

Exceptions

System.ArgumentNullException
settings is null.

System.ArgumentException
A setting has a tag that is not four characters long.

Remarks

An axis that is not in settings stays where this typeface has it, a setting for a tag the font has no axis for is ignored, and a value outside an axis’s range is clamped to it. Asking for the same location again gives the same typeface, and a location at every axis’s default gives the font’s default typeface. The outlines and advances of a glyph and the font-wide metrics follow the location; the substitutions and positioning of the font’s layout tables do not (their variation data is not read yet).
