IDocumentBuilder.OverlayFile(Action<IFileLayerDescriptor>) Method

Stamps pages of an existing PDF file over the document’s pages once they are drawn - a watermark, a “DRAFT” stamp, a letterhead’s foreground. May be called more than once; layers apply in the order they are added.

Remarks

The file’s pages are drawn into the new document, not copied from it: text, paths, clips, colour and transparency come across, as do most images, and what the importer cannot draw yet (fonts with no embedded TrueType, OpenType, CFF or Type 1 program) is left out. A file that needs a password to open, or that is encrypted with RC4, is refused. A page larger than the page it lands on is clipped to it.
